The Public Entity Institute for Energy Diversification and Saving (IDAE), attached to the Ministry for Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge through the State Secretariat for Energy, has the mission of contributing to Spain's objectives in energy efficiency, renewable energies, and low-carbon technologies.
The IDAE carries out various actions such as dissemination and training, technical advice, development of specific programmes, and financing of innovative and replicable technological projects. Additionally, it leads international activities within the framework of European programmes and cooperation with third countries.
"Real Decreto-ley 20/2012" (Royal Legislative Decree 20/2012) extends the functions of the IDAE to support technologies for the decarbonisation of electricity generation, assist the Ministry in administrative, judicial, or arbitration procedures, and act as an instrumental and technical service entity for tasks entrusted by the General State Administration and its organisations.
In this context, the La Rinconada Town Hall has executed seven IDAE projects during the period 2014–2020, standing out in the implementation of initiatives aimed at energy efficiency and sustainability. These projects reflect the municipality's commitment to energy improvement and the adoption of clean technologies, aligning with the national and international objectives promoted by the IDAE.
