Component 1 of the Recovery, Transformation, and Resilience Plan is part of Lever 1 and its goal is to transform urban and metropolitan mobility so it becomes more sustainable, safer, and more accessible, as well as better connected. It includes actions meant to promote public transport, active mobility (walking and cycling), the reduction of private vehicle usage, and the improvement of air quality in cities.
This component supports local entities in the development of low emission zones, the digitalization of transport, and the implementation of innovative solutions that boost a more efficient and environmentally friendly mobility, all of which are in line with the Spanish Urban Agenda and the European Green Deal goals.
