Low Emission Zone: Metropolitan Project

METROPOLITAN PROJECT

La Rinconada Hall Town has carried out a project to upgrade and improve the bike lane on the northern access to Seville, with the aim of promoting sustainable mobility and contributing to the mitigation of climate change. Financed 90% by the Next Generation-EU Funds, this project has allowed the planting of 400 trees that will provide shade along the lane, contributing to the reduction of temperature and CO2 absorption.

The improvements include the installation of an efficient irrigation system for the trees, the adaptation of the pavement, new signage and the incorporation of solar-powered LED lighting. These actions will not only improve the quality of the cycle route, but will also help to reduce the use of polluting vehicles and protect the natural environment.

This project is an important step towards the creation of an integrated metropolitan cycle lane network, as part of the Andalusian Bicycle Plan, promoting a more ecological and sustainable mobility in the municipality.
